No luck in TK  Maxx this week, they hadn't really re-stocked since I was last in there.  There's two pieces of Carter's wear that considering, but they're not absolute MUST HAVES which is why I keep looking at them, and then putting them back.

The cup cake set is really only cool because of the leggings.  In winter she'll need more than just the body suit with it.  The sleep suits - well she's very long and we find it difficult to get one-pieces that fit her properly because 3-6 is too short in the body and legs, and 6-9 is too baggy on the shoulders.  The yellow set is a bit too yellow, I think.

I went in to Next to buy a few bits I'd seen online from their leopard range but they were sold out :-(  Then I popped into Matalan and guess what?!  Matalan had lifted ideas from Next and had a very similar range, in stock.  Hurrah!  So I bought these pieces:

I can't find the tights on the website so no photo.  They had some fairly good things in there, which was a nice surprise.  This is the first time I've bought anything for Elina in there, I haven't really liked anything before now.  Which is odd, because I often find things for myself in there.  

Carter's Confession

OK, if you're going to learn one thing about me, it's this: I am addicted to Carter's. I know it's not the most expensive or prestigious brand, but I just love it. I love the brightness, the patterns, the adorable characters. It's really hard to come by in the UK. There's eBay and there's TK Maxx, both of which of course are really hit and miss. I have a Carter's alert set up on eBay to inform me when something new is listed, and I prowl round TK Maxx at least once a week.

Carter's have actually just started shipping to the UK and I really have to contol myself because shipping and import tax make it VERY expensive. Too expensive to make it worth-while really. Plus then I'd lose the thrill of the chase on eBay!

I bought it in size 9-12 months as it's winter wear. It's a lovely soft fleece. My mum loves owls so I am sure she'll go crazy when she sees Elina in it.

Actually TK Maxx was on form last week, they had plenty.  Not much in 6-12 month size though, lots smaller and some bigger.

I think today might call for another walk down there.

First Post! Welcome!

Well hellooooo! Welcome to my new blog. I know darn well that I'm not the only Mama out there addicted to browsing, searching, thinking about and BUYING children's clothing. When I fell pregnant a year ago, I knew I was in trouble. When the ultrasound on December 19th 2011 confirmed she was a GIRL, well ... my bank account trembled. This blog is just supposed to be a bit of fun, to post what my daughter wears, lovely things I find online and in the stores. I hope you'll enjoy reading it. But remember, don't judge me - addiction is an illness ;-)
